2023 General Meeting and Annual Autumn Conference was held at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center from November 2nd (Thursday) to 3rd (Friday), 2023.
 

A total of 223 academic achievements were presented at the conference, including 100 papers in 25 general sessions, 69 papers in 17 special sessions, and 54 poster exhibits. Professor Emeritus Lee Seung-jun of Chungnam National University, the winner of the 2022 Academic Award, took the stage to deliver his special lecture on 'West Dominance over the East & East Dominance over the West,' receiving much attention from the participating members. 
 

The 'Young NAOE Open Talk' was held on November 2nd (Thursday), where many student contests and award ceremonies were held, including Student Ship Design Contest, Korea Autonomous Boat Competition, KTTC Experimental Fluid Dynamics Contest, and Future Ship Idea Contest. Undergraduate students were able to engage with corporate mentors for mutual exchange and sharing of stories about the shipbuilding industry and the employment market.
 

A special session was held, where the winners of the Korea Autonomous Boat Competition and the Student Ship Design Contest presented their winning ideas. The Maritime Safety Committee of the Society of Naval Architects of Korea held a special session to present research results relating to the Sewol ferry accident and hold a Q&A session. The event was successfully hosted with a total of 536 people, including researchers and business representative, all around from the industry, academia, government.
