The Korea Towing Tank Conference hosted its Spring Workshop for two days from April 20th (Thursday) to 21st (Friday) at the HD Hyundai Group’s Global R&D Center. 41 members from universities, research institutions, and the industrial sector took part in the workshop, presenting 14 research findings on resistance and propulsion, marine engineering, and maneuvering control. On the first day of the workshop, two members representing Korea in the ITTC Technical Committees shared major activities and technological trends on Wind Powered and Wind Assisted Ships and Sea Test Trials. In particular, there was much interest in the presentation about a recently reported additional resistance evaluation method used for ship trial operations. The workshop proved to be a meaningful event, fostering exchanges and partnership among researchers through lively discussions.
