The 16th Winter Meeting of SNAK Arctic Technology Research Committee was held on February 17 (Thu.) via webinar attended by 30 members from the industry, academia, and research institute. To start the meeting, Professor Kim Hyun-soo delivered his opening speech as well as welcoming message as the incoming Chairman of the Society. Arctic Technology Research Committee vice president Hyungchul Shin, Korea Maritime Institute vice president Sanghee Choi, and the Society of Naval Architects of Korea chairman Shinhyung Rhee gave congratulatory addresses and stressed the necessity to present new visions to contribute to the development of polar research by gathering opinions of members as academic and industrial experts from various fields. The main program consisted of special sessions including polar science, polar policy, and polar industries to provide venues for sharing the outcomes of 5 research projects in total.   

The 15th Steering Committee meeting was held online in the morning of 2022 Winter Meeting with the attendance of 23 committee members and Chairmen (and proxy representatives). During the meeting agendas for the resolution of appointing Chairmen, report on the operation of society and items related to the preparations for summer meeting were discussed.
